The islands have plenty of options for you to explore. Here are just a few ideas to help you get started if you are in search of something unique and intimate...

  • A Sunrise Ceremony on Haleakala (Maui)
Overlooking Maui at an elevation of 10,0023 ft, Haleakala National Park is magnificent, especially as the sun begins to rise. Find an officiant and a photographer to capture just the two of you and let the world fall away as you truly experience the magic of this very special place.

  • Private Yacht Charter
Many vessels in the islands can be chartered for a 1/2 day or full day or by the hour if saying “I do” on the water is your dream.  A yacht charter can be  for just the two of you or for a memorable intimate ceremony.

  • Adventurous Elopements
When you book your photographer, seek out ones who specialize in adventure elopements and whom may even be ordained!  Many are able to suggest the most unique places (hidden waterfalls, sunrise cliff views or secluded beaches) based on your vision, can assist in planning and styling and capture some absolutely breathtaking photos that are really in the moment!

  • Haiku Mill (Maui)
This is possibly one of the most “secret garden”-esque spots that has been lovingly restored and designed into a perfect wedding venue.  A historic sugar mill blanketed in overgrown vines, it offers an intimate, otherworldly escape.

  • Liljestrand House (Oahu)
Mid-century cool, the house was designed by Vladimir Ossipoff, known as the master of Hawaii’s modern architecture.  Its location on Tantalus, overlooks Honolulu and is one of Hawaii’s finest example of mid-twentieth century modern architecture.

  • Doris Duke’s Shangri La (Oahu)
Currently closed for renovations, this is a stunning private estate of Islamic art and architecture is nestled on a cliff overlooking the ocean in Diamondhead.

  • A Milky Way Elopement
We have a rainbow season and also a Milky Way season! The best time for capturing the Milky Way is during the summer when it’s viewable at its highest point in the sky, however it starts as early as March here in Hawaii. Coordinate a night-time elopement ceremony with an intrepid team and you will capture something unforgettable.

Hope these ideas have given you some inspiration!  Happy planning!
