A Sunset Editorial with Emily Choy

High up in the mountains on Pālehua Ridge, our couple exchanges vows and revels in wedded bliss on a day captured by Emily Choy, a brilliant destination photographer based out of Oahu. Her style is nostalgic, unscripted, and evocative — the photos feel timeless, and to me, what I imagine snapshots from my memories would be if they were translated into film. This was such a wonderful shoot to be a part of, with the highlight of it being featured in British Vogue and Tatler, showcasing Emily's poignant storytelling.
The setting of this shoot was very special; it is famed Hawaii architect Vladimir Ossipoff’s retreat built in the 1950s, a cabin that sits high above the sea nestled in the Wai‘anae Mountains, which has been lovingly restored.
